August 15, 2007 - Grand Tetons, Fossils & Flaming Gorges (WY/UT)

Since arriving back in the US I've yet to find myself on an interstate-WOO-HOO!!  Journey Report on it's way when I can recharge my laptop.  Today's trek included the Grand Tetons, Fossil Butte National Monument, and Flaming Gorge National Recreation Area.  Full report to come, but here are the photos for now:

Broke roadside bush camp just south of Yellowstone National Park:

While zipping down the road “Mo” (my Moose passenger) yelled “STOP, AGirl!!  There's cousin Marty!!”, so I did:

Onward toward Fossil Butte NM, running beside the Snake River:

Why it's good to practice panic stops:

An unexpected 11 miles of Utah's red rock mud and gravel...

The quick thunderstorm thirty minutes prior that washed the bike was futile... I know have a new layer of mud:

Hey, it's just like Alaska!

Flaming Gorge National Recreation Area with more friends for Mo:
