Bonjour!

Filed under: Uncategorized — AGirl @ 9:30 pm

I made it safely into Montreal this afternoon after a 330 mile day of Scenic Byways and sweepers in MA, VT, & NY…just a lovely day of riding, weather, and scenery!! I’m backed up on replying to emails and phone messages (yeah, yeah, and Journey Reports!) so if you’re waiting for a reply hang tight.

More to come…

Heading for the border…. and the Oldgoats!

Filed under: Uncategorized — AGirl @ 10:30 pm

Well, my “East Coast 2007″ journey has been underway for 10 days… and what a 10 days it has been!! WOW! I don’t even know where to begin so for now, photos will have to suffice: HERE. Tomorrow I head for Montreal to spend some time with my friends, the Oldgoats! Last time I saw them was during my USA Four Corner run last fall so I’m looking forward to spending time that is not time sensitive and getting their input for my Alaska plans in July.

Kobi flew in from Phoenix and we had a great time exploring the Western MA area, visiting Yankee Candle, Dr Suess Memorial, and, of course, eating candy. i dropped her off at the airport this afternon at 2pm and then rode over to NY near Poughkeepsie for more National Park Passport Stamps…. eclipsed the 200 total stamps mark today! Yee-haw!

Hopefully I’ll be able to report in from the Oldgoats in Montreal!

I bagged the stamps in Dayton, then headed north and did so in a sweltering 90 degree afternoon sun. I decided that hitting the rain would be a welcomed thing for two reason: I could cool off, and I could further test new gear and some things I’ve set-up on the FJR. The more north I went the more the sky seemed a little too ominous and mysterious for my comfort.  I noticed several cars (more…)
