No report the last two days since I had no access to an internet connection. I’m checking in from just north of Sikanni, BC (yeah, I know, everyone is thinking “where’s that?”).

WOW, what a journey! Spent yesterday enjoying North Cascades National Park and the “Cascade Loop” scenic byway (Hwy 20). My “detour-itis” flared so I then hit Mt Baker and ran the “Mt. Baker Scenic Byway”… wonderful roads and scenery, and being that it was a weekday (Tues) as well as the day before a holiday I had the entire road to myself going up Baker and very little on the Cascades Hwy. Numerous people asked me in Port Angeles over the past 2 days when I would be catching the ferry to head to AK. I replied I was a rider,not a ferry passenger, and if I had wanted to ride a boat to AK I would have taken a cruise. To confuse people even more (more…)
I don’t know why I’m surprised as I get ready to end this day that the GPS shows 200 miles; I really did plan to have a “light day” hanging out in the Port Angeles, WA/Olympic National Park area, catching up on a few things, etc., but it didn’t exactly work out that way. Ok, so maybe it rarely does…. my friends laugh when I say I’m just going to go for a little ride. It’s never about the total miles for me but the type of miles. Flogging the Strom (more…)
