The "East Coast 2007" journey started in late April when this snowbird flew (on two wheels) out of the
Arizona winter residence and covered 10,000 miles on the East Coast during the following month. In
early June, I paused that trek, switched motorcycles and gear, and started another adventure which has
spanned exactly two months and 15,000 miles.
(Daily reports can be found by clicking: HERE).
Over the last 10 days, I have once again switched bikes and sorted through gear, and I am now ready to
resume "East Coast 2007."
The 84 year old family Matriarch has suggested I make it easier to navigate the different Journey Reports
by separating the East Coast 2007 into spring and fall ("I need all the help I can get to try and keep up
with you even on the computer.") So, since I'm specifically heading to the northeast in hopes of
seeing the grand colors of the fall foliage, I've decided to call this upcoming journey the "Fall Foliage
Frolic" and indeed clearly separate the reports by the two links below.
As an aside, I'd like to add that I started this website less than a year ago primarily so family and friends
could follow my travels. The response and support I've received from people who have somehow landed on
this site has been indescribable if not overwhelming.
I have been humbled by the emails reflecting inspiration and encouragement, which in turn has inspired me to
continue posting Journey Reports and photos. I'm not seeking fame or fortune, nor do I wish to write a
book (I'd much rather ride than write anyway!). I'm simply living my life aligned with the reality that
there is only so much time to live, which translates into: SEIZE THE JOURNEY. My hope is that
others realize there is no guarantee of a tomorrow for anyone and that delaying dreams, goals, and desires
under the assumption that good health and life will be waiting "when I retire" or "after the kids are grown"
can lead to deep regret. Besides, no one has EVER heard anyone say from their deathbed "I wish I'd spent
more time at the office." Now get busy living!
