Two roads diverged".... (Leaf Peepin' #3, central VT)
October 2, 2007

Started today off in Brighton State Park in the Northeast Kingdom of Vermont.  Looped back towards Stowe, VT so I could see what a difference a week made in the foliage colors.  Wow, have things changed!  Lots of leaf drop and the trees didn't look nearly as brilliant as one week ago.  Plus, there were lots more “Leaf Peepers” which made for congested roads.  They don't know what they missed last week, that's for sure!  I was glad to get out of there and head south.  The full Journey Report will be delayed since I'm camping and only have WiFi access here at the Vermont Visitor & Welcome Center.  Today was full of adventure riding my sport-touring motorcycle on dual-sport roads, thanks to – you guessed it – my GPS' routing Trick of The Day!  I feel lucky to have gotten out of the maze of roads that featured down trees, big rocks, mud, and roads that abruptly ended... while going down hill in wet gravel & leaves!  Full report to come, until then the pics are below....

Mo was VERY excited to meet two of his neighbors from back in Alaska!

Two roads diverged in the woods, and I took the one my GPS sent me down....

Now what?!!

Near White River Junction, VT ... still lots of green here, but I'm glad to have safely arrived!:
