Hello from Louisville, KY.  I departed the Volunteer State earlier today and set the GPS to route me on "Minor Roads" to get here.  I love blazing thru the twisties but I also really enjoy days like today gliding thru gentle rolling hills and 2 lane highways that have unique communities (like Amish) that seep with character, something big city meccas and interstate travel lost long ago.  I mean, you're not going to see a sign on the interstate that says "July 24, Volunteer Fire Dept Pig Roast and Blood Drive."

During the 250mi route today I picked up 2 stamps, "Mamouth Cave National Park" and "Abraham Lincoln Birthplace National Historic Site" - I now have 12 states total:

RTJohn rolled in late tonight sporting a big smile and wearing his favorite t-shirt "If only the passing lane had a passing lane."  Yes, he is one of a kind.  We ate pizza (also his fav) and traded stories of our recent travels.  We agreed my fish encounter beat his bear sighting.  We head out tomorrow for a stamp in Cincinnati, OH then Uniontown, PA continuing on to Harrper's Ferry, WV area.  With the issues my Strom is having we are not going to be pushing very hard at all.
