FJR Fall Full Circle 2009
August 31, 2009 - Grand Teton National Park to Cody, WY via Yellowstone (and a bunch of Bison)

After spending the last 4 nights camping and exploring Grand Teton National Park via my two wheels (FJR1300) and also my two feet (Salomon XA Comp 4), I said farewell to the area early this morning en route to Cody, WY via Yellowstone National Park and “Old Faithful”.  Now that I have consistent cell phone reception as well as web access I have quite a bit of catching up to do.  For those of you waiting on a phone or email response from me, stand-by.

Below are the photos from my ride today – the complete Journey Report will be delayed.  Just to reiterate, I'm feeling great and the bike is running well again (after a getting a tank of pukey petrol  )!

Wow, I've had a lot of questions since posting about my purchase of the Bear Spray a day or so ago.  This is from the packaging:

Here is a map of Grand Teton National Park.  I camped at Jenny Lake Campground:

Finally got out of the road construction from hell road and entered Yellowstone national Park!  Thanks, Kevin, for the photo!:

Upon entrance you are given a map of the park as well as a warning stating this (though I'm guessing most people only read the map based on the behavior of most tourons!):

When I came through Yellowstone on my way back from Alaska exactly two years, I caught flack from a certain someone because I didn't wait for Old Faithful.  So, I made a little detour over today to do so...:

...along with a bunch of other folks:

Apparently shooting hot water doesn't bother this guy:

Okay, time to hit the road again -I was ready for some peace and quiet again!  Little did I know that I'd be dodging bison for the next hour or so.  These photos were taken in 3 different sections:

Whatever Mo yelled over to 'em must have been really funny:
